Recliners: The Favorite Chair of Sitcom (and real) Dads From the infamous yellow chair of Archie Bunker to the prized possession of Murray Goldberg, there are several tv shows where the father in the show has his favorite spot. For Archie, he would sit in it and make comments about how the world was changing around him. Good ole Murray had an entire episode dedicated to his favorite recliner had been replaced and the search was on to find it and bring it back home. I could go on at length and talk about all the famous chairs in movies and television, but I'd like to talk about how the recliner came to be. What do You Have Planned for Spring? Do you make any plans for spring? Since winter has us cooped up indoors most of the time, spring and the resulting milder weather comes as a relief to most of us. You may be looking forward to spring break and a vacation or you may just be looking forward to getting out of the house more often. You may even have a whole regiment of additional cleaning that you plan on accomplishing. For some reason, spring is the time to do that deep clean in your home. It may have something to do with the fact that a deep clean was necessary back in the day. Back in the day, people could only heat their house by burning wood and doing their best to keep the heat from escaping. This practice made it to where removing the soot and opening up the house for fresh air was a necessary thing each spring season.
