The Seasons Have Changed This year winter tried its hardest to stick around for longer down here in the south. While I am sure some places in the US are still kind of cold, the official first day of spring was the 20th. Make Your Living Room Work For You When I was younger and had first moved out on my own, I thought it was the greatest thing to have friends over to visit. In the beginning, I didn't have much along the lines of seating or other comforts for my guests. We were all young, and they were just impressed that I had my own place and it offered us some newfound freedoms. For instance, we never got told to turn down the TV or to quit acting like hooligans while playing video games by my parents. I know, I was really taking advantage of the newfound self-reliance. We may have been noisier back in those days, and we may have roughhoused, but it was that first step into a new world.  As I grew older and realized that being a noisy hooligan loses its charm quickly, priorities for what constituted a proper living room changed. The random assortment of metal folding chairs and a couple of beanbags were swapped with actual sofas and recliners. I was raising the bar in my life but not a
