How do You Arrange your Furniture?

Image
Arranging Your Living Room Furniture Better Homes & Gardens - Arrange living room furniture can be difficult when you don’t know what you’re doing. The flow might not be right, or it just doesn't feel right. Well, here a few tips to keep in mind to help you make your living room feel comfortable and make the most of your living space. Arrangement Tips You may need to have a pretty good idea of how you would like the flow of your room to keep. Since this is a key notion to have, understanding the foot traffic in and out of your living room can help you to have a much better idea of how to start arranging or rearranging your furniture.  Keep in mind how you want your room to function and what rooms are connected to the living space. Is this going to be a place for a family game night or is it going to be more of a place for everyone to get together and watch the big game or the latest hot show? This will help to determine the focal point of the room. If it is a family ga

One Third of Your Life is Spent in the Bedroom

Bedroom Time! I've always heard that you should get at least eight hours of rest every night. That's one-third of your life spent in bed staring at the back of your eyelids. That time is also not counting any spent watching TV, playing on a phone, reading, or any of the other typical entertainments that people lay in bed doing. So, chances are likely that you spend more than one-third of your life in your bedroom.  I, myself have a PlayStation 4 and I will admit that I play games on it more than I should be. Since I actually have two of them (one in my bedroom and one in the living room), I have spent a little bit too much time on the weekends staying up and gaming. Since I also love to read, I will lay down in bed early and try to read a few chapters before inevitably falling asleep with my book on my chest. The biggest problem with that is I will have to go back and figure out where I stopped reading. Since I don't have any cable or anything connected to the television in

Let's Talk Living Room Furniture Do you and your family do things together in the living room? Whether it is a family game night or time to enjoy a movie, this is the room where all the fun happens. From video games to relaxing with a good book and some tea, the sky is the limit when it comes to what a living room is supposed to be used for.  What do You Use Your Living Room for, Mostly? Being a bachelor, I use my living room to have friends over to enjoy watching some sports on the TV. It doesn't matter if it is baseball, football, or hockey season, it's always fun to have a gathering to eat, joke, and have a good time watching the game. Sometimes we make wagers (gentleman's wagers, of course!) just to make the games a bit interesting if one of our favorite teams are playing. Collegiate or professional level games are constantly on the TV in my living room. I love the fact that people want to come and hang out at my house, but the one thing that happens i

Let's Talk Shop About Coffee

Image
Coffee And Table's Namesake I've come to find over time that there are certain things in this world that people either love or hate. Things like peppermint ice cream, eggnog, The Big Bang Theory, and coffee all may fit in that area where there seems to be very little middle ground. I know that my experience with this subject matter is limited to my own personal exposure and that it's anecdotal, but Bear with me for a second.  Coffee, I like it. While some people have their own preference as to how they like it prepared, I will take it all manner of ways. From blended to black, I drink it almost any way and in between that you can think of. However, in my life, I have run across very few people who think that coffee is just, you know, ok. Most people either love or hate it like I stated previously. And, while I admit I do have some interesting questions that pop randomly into my head, this question is derived from my love of the beverage. What's the deal with coffee tabl
