Being a bachelor, I use my living room to have friends over to enjoy watching some sports on the TV. It doesn't matter if it is baseball, football, or hockey season, it's always fun to have a gathering to eat, joke, and have a good time watching the game. Sometimes we make wagers (gentleman's wagers, of course!) just to make the games a bit interesting if one of our favorite teams are playing. Collegiate or professional level games are constantly on the TV in my living room. I love the fact that people want to come and hang out at my house, but the one thing that happens is that when you get a bunch of rowdy people over week after week, it can put some wear and tear on your furniture. Don't get me wrong, no one is jumping on the couch or hanging from the ceiling fans or anything, but there is a lot of moving, getting up, bouncing and other stuff going on during a good game. I can always tell how exciting the last game was by how much trash I vacuum out from my recliners and sofa. 

While you may not entertain the rowdy guys like I do in your home, you or your family most likely use your living room furniture every day of the week. Spring Has Sprung - More Time Outdoors

Longer Days and Warmer Weather This winter has had its ups and downs. Just when you think it was over, here came another week or more of cold weather. I guess winter just wasn't ready to loosen its icy grip just because an underground dwelling rodent said it was time. While the groundhog was a little off with his prognosticating this year, spring seems to have finally come. All in all, I bet a lot of people are happy about this change of season.  Not to be a stick in the mud, but spring coming is always a mixed bag for me. I do enjoy the milder weather, but I seriously could do without all the allergies. I am sure the over-the-counter allergy medicine companies are happy for my patronage, I feel like I have to make a personal budget just for nasal sprays and pills.
