Dining Room Sets and Dinettes

Dining Room Sets and Dinettes If you are like me, you may have thought that a dinette was a smaller set of tables and chairs. After thinking this for several years, I found out that a dinette is actually a room. I have been in several in my lifetime and I actually have one in my home. A dinette is a small alcove or space, typically attached to the kitchen where you can sit and eat. A dining room is a completely separate room where people would take and eat their meals. If your house is anything like mine, the living room doubles as the dining room. While I wasn't raised this way, since I thought I didn't have a traditional dining room, I didn't think there was another option outside home renovation.  My dinette that I have in my house is really just a five or six-foot square outcropping in my kitchen. I have actually used the space to store extra kitchen gadgets like the microwave and espresso machine. Now that I understand the concept, I really think I will try to

Furniture in a Perfect World

The Sofa Furniture in a Perfect World If we all lived in a perfect world, there would never be those accidents that happen and put that unwanted stain or wear and tear on our furniture. Sadly, since we do live in reality, we have to deal with all the wonderful mishaps that come with life. I am no stranger to messing things up and let me tell you my two daughters are really good at it, too. Electric Range Gas Versus Electric Ranges When it comes down to brass tacks, I think that electric ranges are better than gas ones. If you love to cook using a gas oven, it is understandable, but I ask you to keep reading because you may just change your mind.  Cooking with an Electric Oven When it comes to cooking certain things, you have to stick with a recipe. While cooking can be an artistic endeavor, baking and roasting require some mathematical and formulaic practices. For instance, baking a cake requires certain ingredients. You may be able to use some artistic licensing, but in the end, you have to stick to a certain rigid formula of wet and dry ingredients. Anyone who has baked a cake that failed to rise knows that too much or too little of a certain ingredient can ruin the whole endeavor. For this reason, I like the precision of electric heat.  Electric ranges and ovens produce dry heat. Gas ovens, on the other hand, produce humid heat. When you are baking an
