I Only Looked Away for a Split Second As parents, we do our best to look out for our children and keep them safe. The same can be said about most pet owners, as well. Sometimes, we may cross the line and spoil them a little bit... or, maybe a lot. The interesting thing about raising children and taking care of pets is that there is a dichotomy in the relationship. As mentioned before, we want to keep them safe. On the other hand, we do our best to keep our things safe from them! Pets can make a real mess of things in a very short timeframe. Longer Days and Warmer Weather This winter has had its ups and downs. Just when you think it was over, here came another week or more of cold weather. I guess winter just wasn't ready to loosen its icy grip just because an underground dwelling rodent said it was time. While the groundhog was a little off with his prognosticating this year, spring seems to have finally come. All in all, I bet a lot of people are happy about this change of season. Not to be a stick in the mud, but spring coming is always a mixed bag for me. I do enjoy the milder weather, but I seriously could do without all the allergies. I am sure the over-the-counter allergy medicine companies are happy for my patronage, I feel like I have to make a personal budget just for nasal sprays and pills. I look at other people who aren't allergic to grass and wonder what it feels like to be able to mow your own yard without wearing a respirator. Outdoor Furniture Some days can be worse than others
